Millie and Severson´s committed employee-owners are dedicated to understanding and implementing your construction needs. Our selection brings the addition of a strong partner to your TEAM: We represent the experience of 3,800 completed projects. We deliver the competitive pricing of open-shop subcontractors; and we build-in quality, as attested to by the huge volume of business we complete each year for existing clients.
A major factor in our long-term success has been the loyalty and longevity of our key construction professionals. Implementing our Employee Stock Ownership Trust in 1973, founder Charles F. Severson said, "Employee ownership will create an increased sense of pride, dedication, and will to succeed which will greatly benefit our clients." Since then our employees have earned an ownership position exceeding 80%.
As a diversified contractor, we have completed 72 major office commercial buildings and over 27 million square feet of concrete tilt-up industrial facilities since 1980. Our expertise also includes work on 48 hospital campuses and the construction of 50 medical office buildings. We've completed academic / institutional, laboratories, hotel, retail and congregate care facilities. Our firm has completed 18 LEED certified buildings to date and has numerous LEED Accredited Professionals on our staff. We acquire work by both competitive bid and negotiated TEAM selection processes. We have also completed multiple design-build projects.
In managing negotiated TEAM projects, we developed construction management skills, which will help your TEAM "get it right the first time." These techniques include constructability reviews aimed at cost control and change order avoidance, and full-circle checks designed to eliminate drawing ambiguities, duplications, and omissions...all before the construction process begins. Our quality assurance program stresses teamwork as we work together to achieve your strategic planning objectives. In the end, our total package will deliver quality construction at the most competitive price.
